My cousin... the artist

My cousin Jonathan is probably the most amazing artist I have ever seen. He just completed a mural on the wall of his brother Marc's new baby's room. I think that it goes with the quilt that I made quite nicely don't you? :)

Along with doing murals he also does portraits in which he will paint, sketch, draw etc... to your specifications. I am going to take some pictures of a few of his items to share with you in the next couple of weeks. He took one picture of a small child that was given to him and drew a clown hat, outfit and nose onto the child and I about passed out from the cuteness. If any of this interest you in any way please let me know and I can give you his contact information. You will NOT find more talent and creativity in an individual plus he also happens to have extremely reasonable pricing which I think he should increase for the amount of time and care he puts into his work so you may want to act quickly!

Thank you Uncle Lew

Two weeks ago my Uncle Lew lost his battle with cancer. He was a great uncle, husband and father to seven children. Uncle Lew served 23 years in the US Navy including service in Vietnam. Thank you uncle Lew for serving our country and this weekend I honor and remember you! I love and miss you...

Oh my heart!!

I had a newborn session for my cousin Marc and his wife Erin yesterday afternoon. Little Landon is 7 days old today... He is so adorable and I love him to death (even though he peed on me between shots). We also snuck in some family photos and some of Landon with his big brother Austin. Oh and Landon’s Meme’ (my aunt) came by and joined in the fun as well. I will share more once I get them edited. I LOVE my side business.

I post about my volunteer work, Madison and my family but I haven't blogged much about the man in my life. Barry and I have been together for 4 1/2 years and he has brought me so much joy. He has so many of the qualities that I  have searched for throughout my life like honesty, integrity, great work ethic and he is phenomenal father as well . Softball season is here and it is something that we look forward to every year (especially Barry :) ). Family time at the ballpark.. This year however we will not be going to as many games because he is  playing in the conference and a lot of his games are out of state or they start on Fridays so that pesky job of mine and Madison's school happens to get in the way. Every year the development and growth of his performance during the games never ceases to amaze me. Barry.. my athlete, my best friend and my lifelong partner.
