Rest in Peace Uncle Lew

We buried my uncles ashes this weekend at his memorial service the day before Father's Day. There were tears, laughter and lots of love. His spirit lives on in his wife and seven children and will never be forgotten.

I am plugging away, planning and making things that will  be in my Etsy shop (soon I hope). This week I finished designing my first bag! This is a picture from my cell phone , but I will be posting more official pictures soon with different angles and the interior. Now.... this is where I would love some help.. I need to name my bag! It needs to be a strong but feminine name. I have one in mind that has meaning to me, but I would love to hear your suggestions.

Digital Scrapbooking

This is my first attempt at digital scrapbooking. I am trying to expand my photography business by offering this service. Who wouldn't want a custom book or thank you card? What do you think?

Mr. Owen had his Birthday bash this weekend! Oh how my heart loves him.

SMarie Handmade camera strap cover......Do you like?

I am trying out different items for my soon to be Etsy site. This is my first attempt at a camera strap cover. What do you think? I think that I like the overall construction . I may narrow the ends a bit , but the jury is still out. I do however like the fabric choice a lot, so at least I have that going for me. :)

My cousin... the artist

My cousin Jonathan is probably the most amazing artist I have ever seen. He just completed a mural on the wall of his brother Marc's new baby's room. I think that it goes with the quilt that I made quite nicely don't you? :)

Along with doing murals he also does portraits in which he will paint, sketch, draw etc... to your specifications. I am going to take some pictures of a few of his items to share with you in the next couple of weeks. He took one picture of a small child that was given to him and drew a clown hat, outfit and nose onto the child and I about passed out from the cuteness. If any of this interest you in any way please let me know and I can give you his contact information. You will NOT find more talent and creativity in an individual plus he also happens to have extremely reasonable pricing which I think he should increase for the amount of time and care he puts into his work so you may want to act quickly!
