1st day of 4th grade!

Madison started school last Thursday and so began her adventures in 4th grade. She was pretty excited because she got the teacher she wanted and two of her best friends were in her class. Hopefully all will go well and they won't have their "BFF" disagreements this year. She also made team in gymnastics this summer so along with school she will have practice three days a week for 3hrs! along with her nightly homework... She is a hard worker so I have faith that it will all work out...

Madison's 10th Birthday

Okay... I will be posting a slide show of Madison's three day Birthday celebration tonight. I couldn't choose which ones to post so I thought to myself "self... why don't you just post them all". It was a really great time and I had fun making the cake again this year. Last year it was a butterfly cake and this year it was a double layer chocolate cake with white frosting. Mady also wanted chocolate covered strawberries on top so who am I to disagree. I am NOT the cake boss however I do try and hopefully they will get better as the years go by. She is one great little girl and three years ago God blessed me by bringer her and her father into my life.

8th above......9th below...

I haven’t wanted to post anything for a while because then it would block Barry’s blog ( I have a pretty great guy ) but….I must. Madison’s 10th birthday is this Saturday ( yes we will be in the double digits ). So for fun I wanted to post pictures from her last two birthdays. She is growing up so darn fast! I also surprised her by painting her room last Saturday. I spent Sunday in extreme pain but the labor of love was well worth it because she was so happy. I will post before and after shots of her room with her new party pictures after this weekend.

My Girls

So obviously by reading all the posts on this blog so far it is apparent that there is way too much talk going on about my hand and me. I think it is time that the two ladies in my life get a little pub.

I don't really get this entire blog thing, but I guess the posts are supposed to be short so I will do my best. First of all anyone that puts up with me on a daily basis should be awarded a medal or something just on that fact alone. In all seriousness though they are simply amazing and never get told thank you enough for all they do. They provide me motivation each and everyday of my life and without them I would be lost. It isn't too often that one gets to spend everyday with their best friends, and as dumb as it might sound saying my nine year old and my girlfriend are my best friends, the simple fact is they are. No one will ever argue when someone says life isn't easy, but with all these two do in my life and for me mine is a cake walk. So I just wanted everyone to know how truly special the girls in my life are, and how lucky I am to have them. Sarah/Madison, thank you for being the people the both of you are, thank you for all that you do for me, and thank you for providing me with the direction/motivation I need in my life. All of us that are fortunate enough to know you both should consider ourselves lucky.

This is the "Sanitary" hacksaw that was used by Barry's friend Jim. I don't know whether to be upset or impressed. ( Please note the rust )
So I can't find the cord to my camera so the camera phone is going to have to do. I wanted to share a picture of the carnage. Barry thought that it would be a good idea to have one of his friends at work take a hacksaw to his cast. The 27th was a little too far away for his liking.
