Life

I am writing this post because of pain, pain for the unborn. I am not judging because that is not my job nor condemning because that is not my place either but I am struggling. This post may anger those who disagree with my beliefs but they are mine and I have every right to discuss them so if you are Pro-Choice please stop reading if you do not wish to hear them. There is a woman that I personally do not know going through a large spectrum of emotions currently. This woman recently found out that she is four months pregnant. Being so far along she and her husband rushed to the doctor to get a sonogram because the baby hasn’t had any prenatal care. During the sonogram the doctor noticed markers, markers for down syndrome. In the state that the woman lives they will do an abortion up to the fifth month for “birth defects”. Fast forward to today…today is the judgement day to determine if her baby will be allowed to live. Due to that extra chromosome this baby , the child growing in her womb has been deemed unwanted. Reasons have flown, the main one being money. I immediately emailed a friend to get information, the information that this woman needed to read before she made this decision, a decision that may affect her and her husband for the rest of their lives. Adoption, what a beautiful choice. If you cannot afford to have a child that may need more than you can give there are hundreds that can. Why? Why Lord do people murder the unborn because they are not perfect in their eyes? This baby is perfect in Gods eyes because he does not make mistakes, this child was created exactly how he or she was supposed to be. I emailed this birth story and this blog as well as the adoption information to hopefully show her the love that her unborn child could and deserves to have. Please pray with me today, pray for this husband and wife to heal the emotional pain that they are going through and pray that God speaks to this family and this perfectly created child is saved.

“Everyone is responsible for his life before God who has given it to him. It is God who remains the sovereign Master of life. We are obliged to accept life gratefully and preserve it for his honor and the salvation of our souls. We are stewards, now owners, of the life God has entrusted to us. It is not ours to dispose of.”

Drawing #3 for Dariya

I was going to take a picture myself, but I saw this one online and thought that OPI wouldn't mind so I  "borrowed" it. I purchased this package over the weekend for one of Dariya's drawings because spring is right around the corner and we must have nice feet. I also purchased a travel size lotion as well which will be part of this drawing. The inside of the bag  has pockets and elastic holdings for more polish and it retails for around $26.00 but the products purchased separately retail for $35-40!  Please send me an email or leave a comment after you donate if you would like to be entered to win this bag and its belongings!

Day one for Dariya

At the end of day one the generous donations have totaled $255 and that does not include the checks that are being mailed to me!

Thank you God for those who have donated what they can to the Cannon family and please bestow faith and peace in the hearts of those who are still considering what to give. I am not a monetarily wealthy person nor have I ever been, but I give what I can because I know that my wonderful and awesome God will provide. One person told me "I can only do $5.00 and that's not worth it". Really?? If 20 people have that same mentality then that is $100 that will not make it to get sweet Dariya home. If you cannot support this family with a donation then pray for them, pray for the caregivers taking care of their child in the orphanage, pray for Dariya...there is power in prayer and I promise that someone is listening.

Let the heavens be glad and let the earth rejoice; and let men say among the nations, The Lord reigns!
1 Chronicles 16: 31

Dariya

I have been following the Cannon's blog for a couple years now after briefly meeting them through friends Courtney and Justin at the KC Buddy walk. My heart was filled with so much excitement and joy for them when I discovered their new venture. The Cannon's are adopting a beautiful little girl from Eastern Europe and they are needing our help. I have set my personal fundraising goal at $2,000 to help this family but I am praying for much, much more because they need $16,000!! I have asked for help from a couple of my blogging friends who have a large following to help spread the word through twitter, facebook and their blog because I personally don't see a lot of traffic. With the support of these kind traffic "cops" directing people to my blog I hope to see the blessing pour in for the Cannon's. Every dollar gets the family one step closer to bringing Dariya home so please give what you can... We are currently at $20.... The donation button is on the right hand of my blog and is securely done through paypal for your generous gifts.

Hebrews 13:16
And don't forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God.

Please keep following my blog because I am also going to donate some of my SMarie~ Handmade items early next week and have a drawing to coincide with the paypal donations. Please, please, please....give, give, give... Her mommy, daddy, brother , sister and extended family are ready for her to be home and in their loving arms.

Cold weather = sewing

I am currently working on a few sewing projects and having a blast! I have enlisted three models to strut their stuff once I am done. I wanted to show you model #1's dress that I just completed last night. I still have model 1's hair accessory to make her outfit complete . Then I will be moving onto #2 and #3's attire once I get their measurements (ahem) from their mommy. Please give me feedback as I post these handmade creations because I love to get outside opinions of my labors of love..
